@HallmarkJD 'No contest' carries the same weight as a guilty plea. And all defendants are warned as such.

Poundstone had four children in her care when arrested. She eventually lost custody of her two foster children due to her intoxication, but she regained her two adopted children: the nature of custody she had with children she had already adopted required court-ordered family reunification measures, but her foster children did not. Sad situation, really. I think she's come a long way, but any mother would have guilt over losing two children, even foster ones who had been with her for years.

@boogiechillen123 Just because Casey Anthony got away with murder doesn't mean that Paula Poundstone got away with child molestation. Those charges were dropped, they didn't even go to trial so no one got to hear any evidence against her. She's innocent until proven guilty. If the investigators really did have a case against her for child molestation, they would have followed through. Instead, she pleaded no contest to child endangerment and got the help she needed.

@HallmarkJD Does that make what happened any less important or valid? I don't believe we should cover up child abuse, even in instances where someone has money or friends in high places. Michael Jackson was acquited of molestation, and Casey Anthony was found not guilty of murdering her child, but that only shows that justice in America is still flawed.
I find it disturbing that people are willing to overlook disgusting behavior just because they like someones work or public persona.

In 2001, Poundstone was arrested on a felony warrant for three counts of committing a lewd act on an unidentified girl under age 14. The Los Angeles County District Attorney's office also stated that Poundstone was charged with endangering two other unidentified girls and two boys.[11] Few details were released, but the prosecutor indicated that the charges were a result of an incident in which Poundstone was driving her children while intoxicated. She accepted a plea agreement and plead guilty.

@boogiechillen123 to driving intoxicated, yes. To the lewd act, charges were dropped.
