TPS607 "Talisman"

My song of yearning for home when you are far
away,in a sort of sea-faring tradition.Thanks to
Mike Tribble,and to Terry. A special thanks
to Tom Salter of Stonewall Studios in Niagara,
Canada for putting together this fine video.

Talisman

The deck is sound,my skin is browned
from years in the sunny Trades.
and the adventure never fades,
nor slips beneath the waves to drown.
For in it's charted course
my life holds no remorse
but for the love I left behind
on a distant pebbled beach.

Talisman of tarragon
sweet lime and tangerine,
safely carry me back home
upon a sea of green
Talisman of cinnamon
black pearls and children's dreams
chase the loneliness for home
out on this sea of green.

Upon the crest,we sail and test
swells of hope that rise and fall.
And I have heard the siren's call
that beckoned me to give my best.
Yet in my deadlocked dreams
I harbor landlocked schemes
all for the love I left behind
a distant pebbled beach

Shells in her hand,she walks the sand
past the flotsam washed ashore,
and she has need of so much more
than what a life at sea has planned.
But when I'm lost in mist
my talisman is kissed
to bring me to love I left behind
on a distant pebbled beach.
