Wyndnwyre plays a 17th century English dance tune, Nonesuch, followed by an original composition by Bill Klecka, Suite in A Minus. Recorded at the Texas Renaissance Festival November 22, 2008. Wyndnwyre are Bill Klecka, hammer dulcimer; Mark Johnson, whistles and guitar; Therese Honey, harp; and John Candler, dumbek. Guest artist is Corrin Evans, violin. Nonesuch is found on Wyndnwyre's CD, Out of Time, and Suite in A Minus is on their CD, About Tyme, both available on-line from Melody's Traditional Music and Harp Shoppe.

  • First tune is English trad folk, of the oldest sort. Nonesuch was first published in 1651 in a book of English Country Dance tunes.

Second tune was written a bit more recently,by the dulcimer player, Bill Klecka, although we sometimes tease him that his tune may be the older of the two. ;-)
