Gowanus Canal Bridge Lifts Up to Let Boat Pass Underneath

I always wondered if this bridge still operated, and yesterday I finally got to watch it in action. Note the reflection of the Gowanus canal's filthy SuperFunded waters on the ceiling of the bridge, and how the boat comes butt first and barely manages to clear the ceiling with its vertical pole (hard to see in this shitty video). It's tugging multiple barges. Put some music to it to spice it up a bit, lasts 10mins for the full transition. Wanted the viewer to really feel how long you wait. Apologies for my shaky hand.
