"foralex" is part of a series of silent art videos created for a class. In basis, they are not really my idea... However, this clip turned out to be the only part of the project that reflected something personal, as well as visceral.

This piece is based on the demise of a character from a film I saw years ago. Beaten about the head (in the end she suffers twenty-one blows to her skull), she falls into a coma.

With certain movements repeated and dispersed along the timeline, every loop becomes something as violent as what happened to this character. The eye of the storm becomes likened to a life form being repeatedly bashed against the upper right-hand of the screen before spinning into unconsciousness.
