  • @IvyTheBunny yah its attracts them... but thats why its so effective.... bear mace has a STRONG odor and their noses are several times stronger than a blood hounds..... so it not only burns them.... but COMPLETELY over whelms them and they cant handle it its so strong

  • Some bears acctually like the flavor of bear spray...kinda like we like spicy cheetos.

  • i will accommodate them with a shotgun

  • Shoot the bear with your .300 wsm... problem solved.

  • I almost got attacked by a couger before

  • Think about it though, what would you do if some guy walked into you're house and pepper sprayed you ? I know I'd sure be pissed off and I'd fight back

  • It affects the Mucus membranes of the nose and eyes, burning them for a while. Be warned though, pepper spray also ATTRACTS bears, so never spray objects like backpacks, to leave around tents, hoping to keep bears from investigating items like that.

Bears have been seen rolling in pepper spray residue, for up to five days after the spraying. It makes you think, doesn't it?

  • They say the pepperspray is better than guns, as it works immediately on a bear's senses and hurts like hell. It probably makes the bear think twice before approaching humans again too. On the other hand, if I was a grizzly receiving that treatment for just being curious, I'm sure I would've been a bit grumpy...

  • Whoa, that Bear spray is strong! Would that even get the bear away from you though?
