They called him "The King Of Punk Funk." Actually, he called himself that, and others followed his lead. In fact, that was his career. He led, (many) others followed and partied with him. And party he did. Like no other. Probably still partying. Hope so. This ain't much of a video, but the song ROCKS. But then, I expect nothing less from Rick James. "Party baby."

Rick came to my 3rd grade class in Buffalo, NY at P.S. 53.....he attended this elementary school. Levi Ruffin (his keyboard player) has a son named Trevor (who played in the NBA) and was one of my childhood friends (and Rick's God son). This was in the 70s right after Bustin Out and Fire & Desire came out. He was SO cool.
