  • Great video and way to go with thinking outside the box. Seems to fly very nice. What are you using to power it?

  • Many thanks for your comment. The model is getting old now (7 years) and it still has the original gear. The motor is brush-type, fitted with a 3.75:1 reduction gear. The actual unit is the GWS EPS-300C. Motor batteries used are relatively small 7.2v or 8.4v NiMH packs. Like I said, this is a bit dated now, but it's still going strong!

  • Well it looks like you and your son enjoyed flying it a great way to start him out, hope the both of you had fun with it. I like the fact that you tried something new and posted how it worked out. The Internet is great for that, gives us all ideas, currently intrigued by powered kites. Great for portability.

  • Good flight !

  • ok....

  • Love it, simple, sweet and fun

  • @24262748 Yep thanks for not playing "Danger Zone" from Top Gun.

  • Great job, and some decent music instead of the usual rock stuff!
