The Marco Polo is viewed from the Century in Dover in June 2006. They both sound off in passing.

  • I went on Century before it was remodeled in 2006! Still a beautiful ship inside though!

  • @jconnor55 There were four sister ships all named after Russian writers: collectively they were known as 'The Five Poets'. All gone now, except the Marco Polo.

  • @phoeedad She is still around and still sailing from Tilbury under charter to Cruise & Maritime Voyages. I'm going to Svalbard on her in July.

  • We have sailed 16 times on the Marco Polo , it was the best Ship ever , we will never forgive NCL for selling her , made lot of Friends on the Marco Polo ( Staff & Passengers). Hope you come back one Day Marco Polo..

  • Thank you for this video!! I sailed on four Marco Polo cruises, had irreplacable vacation adventures, and would do so again in a heart beat - - if it were possible. She took us to such great places: India, Africa, all over the Mediterranean, St. Petersburg. Very well run line, and very friendly crew. I really miss her.

  • I sailed on this ship back in 1978 when she was still the Alexander Pushkin, We sailed Montreal to London with a stop in Le Harve. Wonderful to see this video. The Russian crew were fabulous. There is a sister ship that I believe sank off the coast of New Zealand quite a few years ago. Mickael Lermontov (sp)was the name

  • I actually sailed on this vessels maiden voyage, way back in September 1965. When she was then a Soviet ship called the Alexandre Pushkin. We emigrated to Canada Montreal and sailed from Tilbury London. I had my 5th birthday onboard! Ever since then I have been hooked on ships and the sea. Obviously VERY well built to still be at sea! Fantastic to see her.

  • ¡Bravo, Coleman!

  • Talk about pollution lol.

Beautiful old ship, although i do prefer the modern cruise ships.

  • lol it has my name
