I agree with equal rights however its just as hard for Asians as it is for Caucasians. I remember someone saying that the only difference is if a Caucasian and a Maori male both got the same scores and one of them had to be picked they would pick the Maori guy.

kellygthatsme, I totally agree with you. So sad that political correctness has hit the one organisation that is supposed to be neutral. Best man or woman for the job I say, regardless of race, gender, sexual preference or religion.

I am not racist, in fact far from it. But here's a point to ponder. What if the Police turned around now and said they are going to halt all requruiting of Asians, females and Indians and all they are going to hire now are caucasians. This country would go into an UPROAR. For a keen, fit, ready, experienced male caucasian it will take nearly 6 years to be accepted in Christchurch but for a female Asian it will take only a few months. Anyone got a problem with that?
