Teleport location history
In Second Life 1.19.1 and newer, there is a very useful way to revisit places if you cannot remember where you have been. You can use teleport links in Local Chat History! After the teleport is done, you can click to look for where you were last. Then you can teleport anywhere else you would like in Second Life. If you are lost, use this tool to automatically show you where you were last. If you have "Chat Logging" turned on, your SLURLs will be saved for easy travel. For information on how you can easily backtrack using your saved SLURLs, refer to "Using SLURLs" in the Knowledge Base @ http://secondlife.com/support .

  • That is SUCH a good idea. If you crash, or get called away, or press tp by accident, you can go and resume what you were doing without cursing that you didnt take a landmark!!! Thank you Torley

  • You know, I saw this stuff in my chat history, and I didn't realize I could just click on it. That's very useful! Thaaaank you!

  • well duh u got a fast connection lucky u

  • Nice feature but it isn't useful after a crash or reboot, everything get lost and can't see after log off. However a history or Debug settings that store landmarks without saving it manually would be helpful except it doesn't add to your landmarks that you personally created... more like a History window like a web browser, not a bookmark then delete it manually making it safer to backtrack your steps.

  • Crashing looses the data except when you have chat logging on :)

  • Actually If you crash then you will loose the chat history :P

    Mystitool FTW :D

  • Another Great Tutorial!

Now if you can just get SL to revert to work with the previous Quicktime version for Windows 2k Users. I don't want to use a bloated XP just for SL!

    Love your tutorials tho!

    Thanks Torley!

  • Yep, nice idea. But of course, I guess we got that with 1.19.0.5 right? I haven't installed the latest one and already use it ;-)
