  • Joni Mitchell is amazing. I discovered her and Laura Nyro about a year ago and love every single one of her songs. I've just turned fifteen and I will never give up on good music. The 'songs' in the charts today don't qualify at all!

  • All I really really want our love to do

Is to bring out the best in me and in you too

All I really really want our love to do

Is to bring out the best in me and in you

I want to talk to you, I want to shampoo you

I want to renew you again and again

Applause, applause - life is our cause

When I think of your kisses

    My mind see-saws

see all

  • @boopdogg Great stuff isn't it? Check out Carole King also. Vashti Bunyan's "Train Song" from back then is superb too.

  • This song always gets me. This is amazing.

  • a creative genius and unrecognized comedienne :)

  • @msawbe

i was introduced to Joni as a small child by my mother. before the age of 9 i know every word of every one of her albums up to that time.

my pals used to make fun of me a bit , until i told them the lyrics to BLUE

    ("...Acid, booze, and ass

    Needles, guns, and grass

Lots of laughs, lots of laughs

Everybody's saying that hell's the hippest way to go

    Well I don't think so

But I'm gonna take a look around it though ..."). suddenly they thought i was super cool , lol .

    yes, i said, i am!

  • @crockyoshighty Man.... I remember in my High school parking lot 20+ years ago hanging with the fellows' drinking beer and a Joni Mitchell song pop'd on the radio. I'm groovin to it' and the next thing I hear is "WTF is this shit! So I spoke up and asked' don't change the station. So of course' these metalheads laughed' and called me every insult you're manhood name in the book. I just laughed and rode with it' it wasn't my radio' but they knew if I wanted to' I could take the keys and the car.

  • Joni's songs are the only ones I know all the lyrics to by heart including musical accompaniment, and I'm a bloke! The only men that normally know all the words to songs are usually . . . well you know, Chiropodists. Ta for posting. :o)o:

  • Man, on christmas eve, who can ask for anything better than the minor miracle of Joni's voice? Don't have much use for religion but when I hear her sing, I think she was chanelling something angelic from another place

  • I love this song! I wish we could celebrate genuine talent rather than fucking gobshite twats who clog up the airwaves and tutor our youth in the ways of (in anti-Withnail terms, "wrongness"). God bless those who try to make a difference in a postive manner..and fuck the charlatans shagwipes who pervert the good and pollute the popular airwaves. They are nothing less than dictatorial criminals. Sadly, a vast percentage of idiots fall for the hard sell and mistake a fucking racket for music! LFCx
