  • I saw you perform this in the cathedral and thought it was marvellous! Chichester always come up with the goods at choir festival I find. I'm a bit confused by the person that says the choir was only 6 months old though... you've been going to choir festival all the years I have, since 2002...

  • I'm glad you enjoyed it. as for your '6 months' question, being a university choir, its always a different group of people every year, almost like a new choir. The choir is actually over 16 years old, i've been in it for four years and have been to 3 choir festivals, always a good laugh. hope that helps

  • uhhh the soprano soloist is not very good, no offence. and not a very good balance of voices. maybe you should've tried it with the whole soprano section singing that solo at the beginning. great dynamics though

  • interesting view points. The soloists were used as the venue is treacherous for single lines, especially with a choir this size. The blend between parts is not top, but yet again size is a key factor. This choir is only 6 months old at this point so being able to perform a piece like this is a great acheivement. Well done.

  • Nice job.

    Thanks so much.

  • @emmaswarb Great. We sung it at a Church College choir festival many years ago (1995). I was at Christchurch Canterbury then. Chichester have always worn those black surpluses! Many happy times, everyone drinking and singing - sure that nothing has changed!

  • when i hear this it reminds me of a very deep and thrilling moment of somewhat

  • Amazing acoustics!

  • We did this in our uni's choir, it's a flippin' hard piece to master (though we started with the whole sop/alto). But wow, after a not-so-perfect start, those last measures were perfect indeed. And gosh, listen to this wonderful reverb.

  • Wonderful acoustics, but boy was that soloist nervous/tired. Otherwise amazing.

  • chilling :)

  • lol we've also been picked in front of the university chior to sing a couple pieces for students finals
