  • yes this happened to me - i was merrily closing stuff, then i closed wininit, expecting it to tell me off - instead my screen faded to black, then alarmingly became very, very bright - it looked like it was melting, everything was locked so i had no option but to pull the plug - needless to say, scared the shit out of me!

  • memory dump? is my pc taking a dump?

i never heard of this executeble file (sorry for my bad english)

then when my mom was on the computer avg keeps saying that a trojan horse patched_c.JET was found in wininit.exe i dont know what to do.

I cant delete the file because it says that its on the white list or something that it's a critical file.Does anyone know what i should do?

  • Its not a glitch. When you are about to close a process it warns you.

  • hmm, why doesnt your bsod show the "go and ask your sysadmin" text?

  • when my computer starts it show the next message:windows cannot find 'd:\windows\media\installed\ls ass.exe'.make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. to search for a file, click the start button, and then click search. After i click OK or CANCEL the windows works, but i don't know if i have a virus or not. My avast antivirus didn't find enything. What can i do ? Please enyone help!

  • it's glitch not glich

  • i ended wininit.exe before then i got the bsod then i restarted it and it said somthing but it had choicres like windows normaly or launch system repair i tried both and launch system repair would just take me to that same screen and start windows normaly would just restart

  • ok.

  • It was Vista. Actually, exactly the same thing has happened a few more times lately. Except it's been happening spontaneously with no interaction from me. I'm pretty sure it must be software-related, cos I reset my ATI catalyst options to default values and changed a few other things, and it hasn't happened since. Usually the mouse freezes and the screen goes black and then the weird ultra-bright melting effect. Mind you, I'm getting used to it now =]
