Inspired by a video by wildwoodclaire1 this video asks the obvious question

If carnivores such as lions and tigers, sharks and eagles, wolves and polar bears all have special adaptations that make them suited for catching prey and eating meat and if, according to Christian mythology, when they were created and put in the Garden of Eden they only ate plants because death had not yet come into the world, god must have known that Adam would fail his little test right from the beginning.

As he created the animals before Adam he must have already known that his creation would be flawed but he still continued.

If the God of Christian mythology already knew that man would fall for "sin" before he was created and before he was tested then why should we be asking this self same creator for forgiveness?

When you think about it some things are just so obvious that even children will spot them.

It then takes a charlatan such as one of the many creationist "professors" and "doctors" to convince them otherwise and lie through their teeth to try to twist the evidence to fit their narrow minded interpretation of a bronze age text.

It appears that some people just do not have the sense they were born with.

In the god old days we would have weeded these idiots out of the gene pool by giving them a hand full of lettuce, a couple of carrots and pointing them in the general direction of the nearest pack of lions.

Maybe that is why the Romans fed the Christians to the lions.

The point out the obvious

  • I fail to understand WHY it is so important to creationists that the bible be taken literally. I'm an atheist, but I know christians who believe in evolution, their view being that god sort of "kickstarted" the whole thing and then sat back and watched, (my parents believed this). Why do they insist that it be taken literally, and why is it so offensive that we evolved from a lower primate? I really don't understand this.

  • @nancy6ify Its actually quite obtuse, and I do allude to it in this video, but the reason why fundies take genesis so literally, and why I make pains to take genesis to bits is because if genesis did not happen as they say it did then Adam didn't sin and because Adam didn't sin, Jesus didn't need to die to forgive those sins and so Jesus's death was pointless and an all knowing god would not send his son to die a pointless death

The point of the whole new testament rests on Genesis!

  • Curious...who sings the song at the beginning? The voice sounds like one of the voices on the old Schoolhouse Rock.

  • @withfootnotes The music at the beginning is an excerpt taken from a song called the good book, written and performed by Tim Minchin.

It is the same song that I use for the literally genesis series only th part I use for that is the very beginning where as this clip is from somewhere right in the middle

  • @nancy6ify "I fail to understand WHY it is so important to creationists that the bible be taken literally" Although the answer is more complex and long winded that will fit in a comment, it is basically (very very basically) that to admit that the bible is not literal is to admit that it is not infallible. A bible that is not infallible means they would have to figure things out for themselves instead of getting others to think for them.. Some people just cant handle being wrong.

  • @aliveinthelamb So the bible is the perfect work of a perfect god?

  • ahh come on we all know that Satan tricked people by putting fossils in the ground and make us turn away from God,yes Christians i know actually believe that

  • First of all, your conception of God is flawed. "GOD", by definition, is a Perfect Being (Matthew 5:48) to speak of Him in terms of anything less would disqualify Him as God.

Secondly, To assume God's creation has failed, is to assume that our freewill and redemption has failed ~~>(Deut 30:19, Rom 8:22-23) To wit: as far as the individual is concerned has not~>(Isaiah 65:17).

  • I want to know the name of the song in the beginning :)..

  • .

Do you believe in Punctuated Equilibrium ?

    .

  • Your funny and good

  • Very entertaining but we all have delusions to some degree.
