You can get upcoming appointments on the home screen on the 500v, you just change the home menu type in the settings, you can also change the side key (below the volume keys) to go to camera as well.

hi steve i am thinking of buying a microsdhc card after serious reserching on the web i got prety confused sd are officially recomending up to 8gb cards compatible with nokia 6120 and only up to 4gb for 6290(my phone)if a phone can run a micro sdhc the size doesnt matter right????

Yep, in theory. In practice, it probably depends on firmware revision and other factors.
