I climbed this mountain in the early 80's via Naro Moru. It's NOT easy-some areas are very rocky and steep. Our group didn't have the right clothing and shoes but it was an experience that I would never forget. We were rained on but we never got wet bcoz the rain was in form of frozen rain stones. It was difficult to breath higher up-they said the air was thin and so we had to walk slowly. Thanks NTV for your cause ... the politicians are sleeping on their jobs waiting for msaada from Obama.
Raila Amollo Odinga has turned out to be an abject failure as a national leader and as the leader of ODM. Last week he once more showed how he has lost touch with the Kenyan grasroots: dismissing the corrupt maize and oil deals as trivial at a time Kenyans are struggling to feed themselves. He is then 'consulted' and does not oppose the return of Kimunya.

Moi was my classmate. Anyway, we were young members of the Scouts movement and we were just taking another challenge. It was an awesome trip.
