  • @brucemy That was likely already marred up from a pile of miles down gravel roads and overspray from my undercoater. However, if you use some masking tape to cover the rearward section of trim, any marring would be avoided. FWIW, the painted plastic trim was never pried against but the liners would rub on the trim going in. Anyway, J-clips are those snap-in nut plates. They are also sometimes called U-nuts. Both are something of a catch-all term

  • I see you marred up your wheel well trim above your mudflap with you jerry rigged tool. Too bad. Other than that... what is the J spring your talking about? Does it just " push " in? And whats it for and how does it work?
