Little Anthony and The Imperials "Hall of Fame Induction"

Anthony,Clarence,Ernest,Sammy and Nate. I've been a fan of you all since way back to 1958.
I was only 12 then, but I've lived to see this accomplishment. It is one of the biggest thrills I've seen in my life. I wish you all many more years of success.
This clip is owned by FUSE TV and I claim no credit for it. I just want to share this moment in R & B history. I've gotten to know them personally in the past few years, and they are not only fabulous singers but great friends! I hope all who watch appreciate this moment.

THE IMPERIALS were the ONLY group from the DOO-WOP era to consistantly have chart hits AFTER that era had passed ....well into the 60's and 70's ...while their contempories had all faded from the charts. Those groups now have to appear in package shows to draw crowds...while THE IMPERIALS don't have too. They still draw huge audiences ALL BY THEMSELEVES !!!

One of the few groups who still sound as great as they did thirty or more years ago. Little Anthony's solo voice is amazingly well preserved for a man past his mid sixties. He holds nothing back and pushes himself to the limit. He has a voice like Smokey that is always recognizable. Others with a unique quality in their voices were Dolly, Brenda Lee, Mathis, Sinatra, Dino and so many others like Aretha, Ella, Sarah Vaughn.....the list goes on and on. Temptations, Frankie Valli.......
