FLYING AROUND MY FATHER INLAWS HOUSE WITH MY N95 STUCK TO THE FRONT OF MY RAPTOR 30. IT WAS A HOT DAY AND I HAD TO RICHEN THE ENGINE MIX. I NORMALLY GET 12 MINUTES TO A FULL TANK AND RICHNING MAYBE 10 MINUTES,, BUT NO JUST 8 MINUTES... BYE BYE HELI

  • Haha the last 20 seconds are the best part, did anything survive the fall?

  • yes,, the n95 cracked the screen and was a bit bruised,, but survived to tell the tail.

  • I take it that the autorotation didn't go too well?

  • unforuntely heli droped behind tree line and excess weight on front of heli with phone on board with no driven tail and no practice of outo on board made life hard.. thanks for watching.............Whapit

  • bummer. i take it your 30 was pretty bent and buckled?

  • like cloverfield

  • Yeah - I don't practice enough autos - mind you I had my fair share of forced autos: 3 in one flying session once. Engine flameouts. Got the first one over with and then the other two happened because I couldn't believe I needed to change the clunk lines. At least they were at low level, so all I had to do was let the heli hover gently down.

Having the heli drop out of sight doesn't help! But that's the risk for a little aerial filming I guess!
