With all of the accomplishments women have achieved in the last century, people think that the fight for equality has been won. It hasn't. Far too many women still suffer from physical and emotional abuse at the hands of their partners. In fact, one in two Canadian women over the age of 16 has been the victim of physical or sexual violence.

We can't go on like this. It's time for us to end violence against women.

  • Wow! Thank you for this!

It reminded me how important it is to stop pretending and not to be embarrassed.

I haven't been physically abused, but rather emotionally abused by two men that I have invited into my life. I was painfully embarrassed by this. This video reminded me that by speaking out hopefully less women will be so embarrassed that they hide the abuse in their lives.

    Thank you!
