I was wondering, i got my desktop back in 2006, so its kinda old..and lately my computer has been restarting by its self like when im running a program or two or try to open a program/file, also my virus protection kept undoing the update for itself right after i updated it...iv switched virus protection so i dont think it is a problem anymore.but i still get a random restart..and the occasional blue screen starting today :( im going to be getting a new hard drive..is that what i should do?

It sounds like you're getting a viral corruption in your hard drive. I would recommend running Hitachi's Drive Fitness Test just to make sure. I will PM you the link.

Not yet, walked away from it for a bit to move forward with another series, the Virus Removal series and the faster Vista series - I will return to this one later to rekindle interest.

Don't worry, it's in my pipeline and the next faster computer series is on Vista. :D Make sure to subscribe and keep in touch, I will probably be starting it towards the end of this month.
