@eastern2western It is easy for you to say how great Mao was . because you never live through it. My mom did ( my G father and my dad were in the States) G mom died of lack of medical care because of our family status( small landlord) Communist China took everything my ancestor worked hard for by force. My mom was put to trail. We had to bribe our way to got out of China.China under KMT would get better if time was given .

@eastern2western China could have been united in '46 if the U.S. had allowed it. China was always being invaded by Japan and the KMT spent all their energy fighting them but gets no credit for doing so. People only see how the CCP stole power in 1948 when KMT warlords switched side and the CCP subsequently took over the entire country minus Taiwan. They don't deserve credit for uniting the country in such a way.
