we did the testing, i can tell you that shorting across the battery pack will weld metal. the documentation and 12 volt was problematic. but the sweetest part was the registration. when we filled out the box on the form requesting the number of cylinders--answer=zero. that raised some eyebrows at the dmv. they were very helpful however. we have a car tag, registration and inspection. we are now in the testing phase for distance, duration, speed. remember this is a 70's chassis--very light but no airbags, homebuilt, no crash protection etc. there is no way this could be a comercially successful production. it was one hell of a ride however.

  • maoristereo is obviously one of those "interweb geniuses" so dont ever listen to trash like that. what you guys did here is fantastic. i am a FIRM beleiver that there is no substitue for internal combustion, building everything i do based on good old fashioned 70s technology. and yet i think you guys are amazing. you worked very hard and should make a more enticing video now that your done. perhaps a cannonball run them song ;)

    keep up the good work!

    and that electric smile :D

  • i believe that there is nothing better than internal combustion for power. but to get us to work as most of us have short commutes, electric renewable is great. that is why we also have a diesel truck for the farm. agreed that we do need to work on the music. so many projects, so little time

  • Well done, gentlemen! My favorite car's gone green. Be still my heart! Unfortunately no insurance company in Canada will insure the Sterling for everyday driving. It can only be insured as a 'show car' taken from one demonstration location to another nearby. That is insane. I still dream of owning a Sterling one day and now I can add 'with an electric engine',

  • The Oil companies are trying their best to stop free energy ideas from spreading to common ppl.

We need to put an end to this corruption ,start generating your own electricity now.

  • noticed your adapter looked store bought,

where did you get it, how many other model tranys do they have adapters for?

  • As soon as I get sick of spending so much money on gas with my 300C, I'll convert it too. That day is close, but hey, to convert it isn't that cheap!

  • i completely agree. this is very efficient and your doing it in style. congradulations on the success!
