The aircraft you see is a static retoration of the very rare and
legendary Focke Wulf 190A-3 Butcherbird, which will soon be displayed in
the Royal Norwegian Air Force Museum at Gardermoen, Norway. The aircraft
was built in 1942, crashed in 1942, and was recovered in the late '80s.
Restoration of the wreck was initially begun at Texas Air Museum, and
then reworked to the present state at WW II Fighter Aircraft Foundation
in Kissimmee, Florida.

The Foundation's collection of rare artifacts includes these two
ultra-rare Jumo 213 powerplants that once fought in the skies over
Germany in the Fw 190D-9 "Langnase." Many original artifacts, including
these wing sections, are used for study during the assembly in this
hangar of the wing which will soon fly again in the Fw 190F-8 "Weisse
Eins."

The collection also contains all of the typical ground equipment used in
the day to day operations of the FW 190 with the Luftwaffe. This
original insignia was removed from an unknown type aircraft during WWII
by a veteran, and now provides a priceless example of the colors and
techniques for application of like insignia on the Museum's restored
aircraft.
The collection is open to the public, and you can learn more by visiting
the website at: www.WWIIFighterAircraftFoundation.org

Yes, this aircraft will be a museum display in Norway. The first BMW-powered Fw190 is now under flight testing and a second will be completed in the future.

  • bmw 801?¿

  • The static display 190 is back in Norway, they are working on a flying FW190 , White One. It will have an original BMW engine to power it when they finish the airplane. Go see it at the Kissimmee Air museum & Warbird Adventures in Kissimmee ,FL.

  • Viewing the results of this task of restoration, I have more to say that thanks to people like those who are restoring this plane, lots of people around the world could see another FW190 in flight ..

No, but I think you can assist in the restoration with the purchase of merchandise "shirts" truth?

  • Love those 190's, great video, thanks!

  • ХУЕТА НЕПОНЯТНАЯ

  • Hope you end up with a flight worthy plane. It would be cool to see her arise like a phoenix and take to the skies again. The FW-190 was one of the best warbirds Germany made during WW2.

  • It looks like the qriginal bits were just used as a pattern to make new parts.
