The local city council in Alexandria, VA is preparing to hit local businesses with additional property taxes despite the challenging economy. This tax scheme recurs year after year, and is a great example of government burdening the people rather than properly managing a budget.

We are experiencing similar government overspending here in the midwest. We're fighting daily against County and town tax increases and in some cases we're winning.

If Obama prevails, these small businesses will not make it. That's my opinion. What's yours? I also think that eventually local taxes will go up. A ten million dollar high school? I don't remember what all the others projects would cost. I think the city fathers have their heads in the clouds.
