Mission S.O.F.T. benefits Task Force & Others

Approximately 1,000 linens from Atlanta area hotels have been collected during a drive to benefit the Metro Atlanta Task Force for the Homeless. These linens were then offered to our partner agencies to fulfill their needs as well. The linens filled our bus (x2) and we appreciate the AmeriCorps teams involvement and help in making this possible!

Procter & Gamble is wrapping up their "Mission S.O.F.T." sheet drive program in the Atlanta area. So far four area hotels (Hilton Downtown Atlanta, Embassy Suites Atlanta - Airport, Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta NW/Wildwood and Westin Atlanta Airport) have donated hundreds of linens and more are still coming in. The sheets, pillow cases, etc. will be laundered in products such as Tide, Downy and Clorox and donated to the shelter. Nationally, the program has collected and donated more than 30,000 linens to homeless shelters in 28 different cities across the U.S.
