Solid Dosage Forms Plant, Hemofarm, Vrsac

Starting from the first product Aminopyrine, solid dosage forms have been manufactured in Vršac for already half a century, and almost two thirds of the Hemofarm product range comprises pharmaceutical solid dosage forms, the manufacture of which has been practically planted in the Hemofarm foundations. The construction of the factory, which was put into operation in 1996, the most advanced pharmaceutical plant for production of solid dosage forms of medicinal products in this part of Europe at that moment reprsents an impetus in the development of production of this form for Hemofarm. One third of the facility occupying 13,500 square metres comprises the GMP-compliant production area. A horizontal system, which combined with the gravitational flow of raw material gives the most flexible production solutions, is applied within the technologically united production segments. Implemented technical solutions have enabled manufacturing of effervescent and pellet forms, creating the foundations for mastering new product ranges. The annual production capacity of the plant is 4.2 billion of tablets, 225 million of effervescent tablets, 60 million of capsules and five tons of pellets.
