  • This is a French version written by Donizetti himself

  • it is F key !!! wow just wonderful...

  • Is the French version the only version where it is a High F at the end, or, is the Italian one the same but all soprano's have it transposed?

  • seriously, she's had nodes and her voice is not what it used to be at all. she's practically out of control, btu she can still wail the high notes, so she markets that. she can't act, and it's easy to mock her if you sing a high note, but close your mouth to a small "O" and lift up the middle of your tongue, and purposely shake your vibrato. i mean REALLY, who takes the mad scene, transposes it, puts it in french, adn then let's her boobs fall out, THEN put it on DVD for the world to see?

  • She was loosing her dress and she didn't notice it...

  • it´s more enjoyable if I close my eyes

  • she has helped bring opera standards to an al time low. The horrible screeching voice scratches on my ears. Singing rep that is clearly not suited to her.

  • It was a hideous display of acting, not singing. To this we have fallen.

  • I think I just saw some boobs. How European. I saw a production of The Cunning Little Vixen in Berlin, with tons of kids there, and for some reason they put a fully naked girl on stage -- and she wasn't even part of the cast. She represented the "anima" of the Vixen. Stupid theater directors, it's just distracting.

  • My introduction to her was as Olympia in Hoffman. She wore her toe shoes and was "on point" at various periods throughout the aria. I won't forget it.

Just got my MET subscription tickets and her Lucia photo is on the tix as well as the subscription booklet and other promotional mailings -- including the envelopes! The MET is staking a lot on this -- espescially after the failed Zemballo production.
