  • Did I hear the F-word at 2:02? That would likely have been censored back then!

  • Buen video, tengo una pregunta: ?cuanto me costaria este tipo de fonògrafo en el mercado?

  • Sound Is Very Clear, and that is most important thing on gramophone.

  • little strange but O.K.

  • @electrondady1 Thanks. I'm not even sure if these can be played on "modern" type players (78, 33 rpm), if not then maby somene can make a special electric-pickup needle.

  • part of the charm of these recordings is the inherent distortion.

but a quality recording of that distorted sound is possible with a good microphone and a computer with a recording program.

  • Does anyone know if they make special electric pickup needles so that you can save this with recent recording tech. methods, like digital perhaps (this is not about quality, but preserving prescious recording media)? Plus I'd like to hear some "remastered" from these disks, it would be a treat to hear how "it should" sound under good circumstances.

  • @poplogan I have some center-start Pathés. The ones made between 1906 and 1916. Are they worth anything?

  • Does it normally take only one crank ( as seen in the vid) to get these ready to play? Why did he do it?
