That clock radio at 3:33 goes for big bucks on ebay (along with any other sony "EZ alarm" clock radio). It easily sells for over $50 USD.

i'm not much for video/stereo equipment like talked about here, but i'll take an 8088 PC any day to a brand new, top-of-the-line PC or Mac.

i agree ill stick to my beta over and vhs over any dvd palyer and my turntable tape deck etc over in stupid walmart mini component stereo any day.

The problem is not the chinese, its the commoditization of electronics. Consumers want to pay less for more, and there are far more consumers. Sony lost the electronics lead long ago to Samsung and the chinese players by not adapting fast enough. If you are looking to get that feeling of vintage electronics used to create, players like Bang & Olaf. do so, but they are slowly going away... IE: Nakamichi.
I miss my Sony T7 Betamax... it was my window to the world and a tank!
