My name is Paul Doom. I was, I was recently affected in early June. I was swimming in the water and doing everything a normal, a normal teen does do. In late June I started, I had an onset of headache and internal bleeding which I then reffered myself to a hospital. The hospital really couldn't tell me much of what was happening to me. They said all of my labs were coming back normal and everything was good. They sent me on my way home. It didn't get better from there. It, it, it just got worse. My headaches started getting worse, I had constant dizziness. On November 24, I was going into the Marines and I there then went through my training, came home that day and...I, I had a headache so I took some of the medicine the Hospital prescribed they said, they said it would be better within a few of weeks. I went to lay down and my chest started hurting. I started having numbness down my arm. I went to go find help. That's all I remember, after that...I found, I woke up in a hospital, I couldn't move, I couldn't move my left arm, I couldn't move my left leg. I, I was basically paralyzed on my left side of my body. They've done multiple EEGs, MRIs, EKGs, CAT scans, CTs, they can't find, they couldn't find anything wrong with me. All, my MRIs and my CTs of my brain have shown, have come up with white lesions which before I moved down to Florida there weren't any before. Before this oil spill, I had no white lesions in my brain. Not, now I'm confined to a wheelchair, I'm, my, my daily life has been pretty much constricted to having multiple seizures, uncontrollable seizures, umm, I have to have someone with me constantly. I, I cain't, I cain't get a grip on myself. My...I have a constant headache, constant spinning, umm, vertigo, it's, it's, it's, it's it's unbearable for someone to just live like this, let alone knowing that there's others out there like me is, is a relief. We came, we came here today to, for answers, because I have...I been to 14 Hospitals since November 24. I've seen 93 doctors and no one can tell me what is going on with me. I recently, I recently consulted with Doctor Soto in Destin, Florida and had my volatile organic compounds test, umm, drew. Those answers, those answers are coming and hopefully, that cure, will be able to cure me. If I'm not able to walk again and lead a normal life at least I will know what is going on.

How old are you?

I'm twenty-two years old.

Just to be clear John, this all began when? Exactly what happened?

[Paul]
This all began in early, early to mid July. I had...before then, before then, I had no pre-existing health problems. I was a perfectly active, hard-working, young adult.

And then what again happened...to cause this? You don't know?

[Paul]
We don't know. We can't, we don't have answers but, I wa...I was doing the normal young adult thing not listening to my parents. I was swimming in the water. I was eating. I was eating the fish, the seafood. Then...it, it basically led up to the inevitable.

So, I...since you are here telling us this, I assume that you believe it is connected to the waters?

[Paul]
I...I strongly believe it is connected with, with what...what is in the water. After...after I become ill, I became very active in these environmentalist groups. Umm, I've...I've come to know umm. Michelle ???? and all the...the key players in each group.

For those who don't know, can you explain where, where Navarre Beach is?

[Paul]
Navarre Beach is umm, it's, it's twelve miles from Pensacola Beach umm, and it's about twenty-two miles from Destin Beach. It's...it's, it's in the middle. Umm, on the Gulf's natural seashore. It's right across the state line, to Mobile.

@OlmanBalz I understand how people could get confused, but this hate is ridiculous. Paul has a record, no one is perfect. For those who googled Paul's "mug" shot, did you see that he didn't do anything that would stop him from joining the Marines? I ought to know.. I dated him and was living with him when he was doing everything in his power to fix the mistakes he made and join the Marine Corps. The Marines did take him, he was to join Boot camp in January. He collapsed after his first training

oh come on Balz, the money he gets would hopefully go to getting everything verified&cures. I do agree with you, all this with BP & the people needs to stop. When the largest oil spill in history happens in the gulf......Would be a good thought not to swim in that water for years and years. BP is BP we cannot change that, they have enough money to shut anyone up. Even the Gov. I do have my doubts, nothing is verified, there is no proof. Those chemicals are found in more than just oil.

Paul, I have to know. How was it you were going to go into the Marines in November if you were arrested for probation violation in June? (Google- Paul Doom Mug Shot) The Marines would not have taken you, so your claim of training for entry into the Marines in Nov makes your whole story suspect. I am not accusing you, but I'd like an explanation since you're asking for donations for an illness with, to my knowledge, no hospital or reputable doctor actually verifying it.

Paul, I have known for decades that most people won't speak up. Some of us will....and people ask us why we are spending so much time on the computer. Well, I tweet for folks like you, Riki Ott, KIndra Arnesen, and others who are being shat on by our apathetic nation. Europeans seem to care more about this subject. There is a HUGE cover-up. I can't imagine how your loved ones must be feeling. Your voice rings out loud and clear my friend!
