This is a live version from his live-CD Premonition the original studio version was on his second solo album simple-named "John Fogerty" today it's a really rare CD and I would be really happy to get it.
But nevertheless this version rocks really fine too!

MACHAWK123 that's interesting points you make. I'm 24 and a Quo fan as is my dad, but he has the Fogerty original as well. The thing is that most Quo fans are sick to death of it now cos of what the media have done with it since Quo opened live aid with it in 1985. As a Quo fan I get frustrated that so many only know Quo for this track. Big hit yes, but Quo have so much better stuff in their locker.

The original, and absolutely fantastic version of this song that Status Quo have adopted as their 'theme' song. Both are great but it's just a shame that generations of punters will assume it's a Quo original & probably wont know how good this is. I bought this on it's original release and despite being a Quo fan at the time I originally hated their version. I have, however, since come to love both as being brilliant in their own way. It's a classic by both.
