its strange because i suffer from something similiar not in the respect that i become paralysed but sometimes i am half sleeping while being awake and i also halucinate, i see my room and i am awake but my brain is processing other things, for example i think i am a work see my work but also see my room then i am conciously trying to keep my self awake because i think i am at work causing me to stay awake for several hours sometimes. the only way out seems to be realising it and hitting the bed

if im really tired the next day i wake up i cant move i just open my eyes and i go back to sleep that way im free of being paralized :D
