For this episode of Live Studio Scraps, we diverge from our typical format to bring you a full take of "The Woods" by Jules Bee of Sea of Bees, performed live. Earlier in the week we presented Bee's song "Marmalade," but "The Woods" was just too good to get passed over. Enjoy!
Jules Bee (Julie Ann Baenziger) is Sea of Bees. Jules has a woozy quality to her voice that will make anyone go weak at the knees. She cites inspiration for her folk-rock vibe as coming from gypsies, and her "wildly experimental" sound has been garnering her fans from around the globe. Her live studio performance was accompanied by Allen Farmelo on bass, Amber Padgett on guitar and Livia Ranalli on drums. Check her out live in Toronto on May 24 or in Brooklyn on May 26.
