How could he made/create the ring in his hand and put half his power into it IF he cant survive and maintain himself in the physical world (not the void) when Isildur cut off his finger? When Sauron lost his finger he "died". How could he survive without the ring?

If Saurons physical body was destroyed and exploded when Isildur cut the rung from his fingers. How did he make the ring? Did Sauron became weakened when he created the ring in Mt.Doom and stood on one knee right after he made the ring and was weak until he put the ring on his finger? Wouldn't he had exploded when transfering half his power into the ring in Mt.Doom?
