In the 30's, 40's, 50's and 60's, the black musicians and entertainers could not stay in the white hotels in the south, especially in the Mississippi Delta. The Riverside Hotel was the local black hotel that provided shelter and food for these blues musicians. The hotel was a converted hospital, initially with only eight rooms. After 67 years, it is still open for business, welcoming all races. This amateur video and audio project is for education, demonstration, criticism and comparison purposes only.
