Dear Chizuko, I enjoyed your demonstration and will learn it. But since it is to the sun, I miss the spine tortions upward. Do you know what I mean? Salutating the sun, we should look to it, or at least expose more the breast and raise more frequently our arms. What you think?
Surya Namaskaram has many variations, Kalarippayattu has even more. In some Kalari, especially In the northern style as i know, they teach this exercise to prepare the body for the payattu. Well done Chizuko Asami!
what she is showing is neither kalaripayattu nor surya namaskaram. I had learned karalripayattu for 5 years in kerala it self (where it orgined).. that too I had learned all the 3 styles.. do you think a martial art look like this.
suryanamaskaram is part of yoga and never related to kalaripayattu. What she show is neither suryanamaskaram.. I dont know why people try to show such fraud.
search in youtube for kalaripayattu.. you will get to know the actual art.
Chizuko, This is an amazing practice that you have shown us. I was watching your prolific videos and it seems that you are taking very good interest in learning Kalaripattu, the Indian martial art. Thanks for your interest and learning more about my country and more so, by creating instructional videos for the world. Your effort is truly inspirational. I also do Surya namaskar, but it is slightly different. The kalariappayatu version seems more difficult. Thanks, Gaurav
