Eyefinity on ATI Radeon HD 5830. Windows 7 Experience Index 7.5. 1920x1080 times 3 Samsung 2494LW 23.6" monitors, with bezel compensation via ATI Catalyst Control Center, for a total virtual resolution of 6088x1080 with a span of 66".

Monitors, computer, and speakers are all setup on top of custom-built tables. I was going to stain them black but I couldn't wait to use them, so raw wood they shall remain for now. Temporary cardboard "spacers" were placed under the monitor bases because these bargain Samsung monitors weren't able to tilt fully upright. Bleh to that. I'll have to build better spacers.

Instantly maximizing anything across all three monitors as once is fun.

2 DVI outputs and 1 DisplayPort output are used. Accell Active DisplayPort-to-DVI adapter shown.

Each side monitor is angled 18 degrees from the center monitor. Various field of view (FOV) settings are being tested in Live for Speed (LFS).

Do you ever get that "lacking sense of speed" feeling in racing simulators? Do you brake too late because you can't "feel" how fast you're going? Well, this takes care of that issue. Using angled displays with FOV/perspective adjustments allows you to visually create an authentic in-cockpit experience that truly puts you in the driver's seat. This is a feeling that no single-planed flat-screened display (including 3D setups) can produce, even if it has a 50 ft. diagonal size.

  • Your FOV may still be wrong. Not sure how you adjust it in LFS but you should do the calculations off your eye and get it correct.

I have a tutorial up on racesimcentral com/forum/showthread.php?5691-Setting-up-your-Driving-view

its for rFactor but the math is all the same.

  • @ZE0SPantera yes that was just one of many FOV i tried. i've since adjusted FOV to a lower value.

  • how many FPS did you get

    PROC: core2duo E6600

MEM: corsair dominator PC 8500 , 4 GB

GPU: ASUS GTX 470 DDR5, MANY CUDAS

    G25 + real wheel + real seat + 24"

    RES: 1900 x 1024

AVERAGE + 250 FPS but at DRIFT servers when many objets on screen it lows till 32-35 (if i'd played 800x600 AA and FF OFF,and all minimun details i get the same FPS than full details)
