I'm noticing some of the expected increase in traffic lately on the old EJ&E, now CN tracks through West Chicago. This train was moving into the Hawthorne Yard after crossing the West Chicago diamonds.

Over 15 minutes of video was edited into quick clips to show the move to drop the single box car. Video taken from the pedestrian bridge that straddles the yard while the wind was gusting to over 35 mph.

See it in H Dee.

  • I thought Hawthorne Yard was in Cicero?

  • @TBirdSCIL It is. This is sometimes called that by locals since it's next to Hawthorne Road.
