My twists were done on freshly washed and detangled hair. I applied my Giovanni direct leave-in then I used shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie to twist my hair. After allowing it to dry overnight, I rubbed a little extra virgin olive oil on my hands to reduce friction while untwisting my hair. (All products can be found at target )
