  • Viperion444 - So let me make sure I understand.

When you try to change information within Outlook on your calendar, it gives you an error message? If possible, can you paste to me the exact error, along with the steps your taking that create the error?

Would love to try and solve this for you.

    Thanks!

  • What office outlook you are running 32 or 64......

  • @sthprakash I'm using 64-bit. Was their an issue with yours that's a problem?

  • Hello Toplvagent..

Unfortunately no, I do not know anything about Yahoo sync, as I do not use it. However, I will pose the question to a few of my tech friends, and if I can get you an answer, I'll create a video for it and post it. Keep an eye on the channel!

Take care.. and best of luck. And also, feel free to share a solution if you find one!

  • I THINK I LOVE YOU!!! I've been SOOOO incredibly annoyed by the fact that my brand new computer didn't sync up to my phone. I searched everywhere and found nothing. Today, I decided to look again figuring there had to be a solution somewhere, and here you are. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

  • @111commonsense LOL.. You're quite welcome. It's people like you that drive me to do these. Keep the requests coming!

Enjoy.. and glad it worked for you. :)

  • Still getting errors on my Win 7 x 64, error message 206 plus others..this does not work 100% or the time.

  • It looks really straight forward when you do it but silly question - how do I get the Google Calendar sync Properties Dialog to open, I can't find this??? I'm using Google Chrome as my browser, I have windows 7 in 64 bit mode and I have outlook 2010 open and Google Calendar web version

  • Thank you for this video. I followed your steps and it worked beautifully the first time. Every time after that however I have received a Error Code:2016. I looked that error up and it is telling me I need to have logged into Google Calendar at last once before I try syncing. Any idea why this is happening since I obviously have a Google Calendar. It synced to it the first time just fine.

  • is google app-sync a better alternative to this software?

  • @leefuller2010 thanks a lot for taking interest in my prob. I sent the details to your youtube inbox yesterday.

    regards.

  • @leefuller2010 Thank you so much leefuller2010.

    the exact steps and error:

1.- configure my account in outlook 2010 (x64 OS)

2.- downloading google sync (and installing it with the 2-way sync)

3.- adding the calendar to outlook (adding the ICAL url for my private calendar)

4.- trying to set an appointment from outlook (error message is in spanish, goes a little something like "could not make changes on the content of this read only folder).

    that's about it.

  • Well... the problem I have is that I can't modify my calendar from outlook's interface, it keeps saying that it is read only. How on earth do I change that?

Any guidance will be greatly appreciated, SERIOUSLY!

  • @cmv1944

Did you find Google sync properties? Lost!

  • Thank you for this! It seems to have solved my issue with 64bit op system. Nicely done!!
