This wasn't even a review.... A real review would be to talk about it's features, the hardware, and other important stuff... This was just a bashing video, and really stupid...

I can appreciate a negative review of something but this guy sounds like hes being paid by a competitor to speed read a script bashing the Kindle.
Maybe he was sexually abused with an eBook reader as a child.

It would be nice if the next version of the kindle had the ability to watch videos, ect.

Spot on review. Takes all the fun out of reading with the [WOW 4 shades] gray-on-gray text and page turning artifacts that leave one nauseous. Amazon has pulled out all the stops with its notorious infomercials. It really has very limited capabilities and locks you into Amazon's proprietary system, therefore, no competition. Good for Amazon, bad for consumer. If you must have one better go for the Sony, Illiad or Cybook.

I have to agree with other comments, this guys review seems to be forgetting the purpose of the Kindle, to read books. Yes, I agree it has some negatives and I am interested in seeing what Kindle 2 looks like but at least judge it for what it is. He's comparing it to a PC????
If Kindle had black text on a "white" background and wasn't a closed format system it would be perfect.

Some people seem to miss the point of the kindle. Its not a laptop, a palmtop, an mp3 player, an IPOD, or even a blackberry. ITS AN EBOOK READER. Kindle makes ebook buying, downloadin and reading easy nd pleasant to do. Take hundreds of books with you when you travel, and even buy and download new ones while on the move anywhere (well, anywhere your mobile phone works, which is most places) using its built in web connectivity called whispernet. I can't have one - I live in the UK, but I want one

I find it hard to criticize the display when you consider the primary function of the device: READING BOOKS. Not web browsing, not video, not serious image viewing. The genius of the kindle is in its function, which it does quite well.

what a shitty review, this guy's probably never seen a kindle. the whole point of the display is ultimate readability and elimination of eye-strain. i guess he didn't read anything about that.
