I use 2007 and 2009 pro premier or Asulogics disk defrag, Windows including defrag program (basically Windows 2000) sucks.

Yes i agree: Best Disk Defragmenter Is Still Diskeeper

"Work on the background" means when you turn off the application, it is still defragmenting?
-
$56 for home version is quite expensive though, especially if its just a defragger. However im still going to try the trial and see how it goes.

@goldtrail49 Anytime. Good to know im right
I got DK 2010 as an upgrade from 2008, and they STILL have not fixed the bug where invisitasking continues to run when on battery on some systems. On my Dell Studio 15, it keeps right on running, greatly decreasing battery life so I have to manually disable the service.
Other than that bug, the product works perfectly, although the interface does need an overhaul.

@tipoomaster I don't have much experience with laptops. i have a Gateway I've used maybe twice in 3 years! So I can't speak to battery life. I'm glad you reported this, though, AND a solution. This will help others, I'm sure. Thank you :-)
I agree, the DK interface could use a bit more "user friendliness." It's a bit of a techie thing. I admit I don't know my way around many of its features, even after using it for a number of years :-/ It's always worked on my PC's.

I get an error every time I try and do Manual Defrag, it wont let me, I tried reinstalling it too.

I think I saw that myself with the new 2010 version. My best guess is that if you have automation turned on and running, it doesn't let you do a manual, to avoid possible conflicts and/or "over defragging." Check with Diskeeper support. They're usually very responsive.
On a side note, external USB-type devices do not require defragmentation for the most part. Regular or frequent defragging can cause more harm than good - or so I've been told.

I just got a comment on another video that said I sound like Axl Rose of GnR. I think I should feel complimented either way :-)
