The Spiritual Assembly of the Bahai's of Scottsdale hosted this well attended event in support of prisoners of conscience in Iran, especially the seven-member Baha'i group in charge of the affairs of the Iranian Baha'i community.

Mayor Jim Lane of Scottsdale was present and addressed the audience. Later, professor Steven Gonzales addressed the audience and provided historic background to the persecution of Iranian Baha'i community.
