  • Had a 92 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 2wd that I had suped up for the streets. Those engines with exhaust work can do some impressive things. Picked it up in 2002 for just under 3k. It had 35,000+ miles on it with the famous oil leak around the oil filter. Fixed that and finally killed the valves at 198,989 ish miles. I just didn't have the money to rebuild the heads other wise I'd still have that monster.

  • this one doesn't leak oil anywhere. the 4.0 straight 6 is a really really good motor. they sound best with a flowmaster 40.

  • Nice. Sounds good.

  • thanks

  • try out a flowmaster

  • too late now

  • you need an intake now, it'll sound way better

  • I love that sound.

  • still a damn nice car. i get mine sunday. i cant wait. ill post a vid of it. im hoping to get intake and ehxaust. then mabye some performance chips and stuff just to beef it up. its a real nice car. im like going insane waiting for it though. im like lookin up jeeps all over the place haha.

  • By new one, I meant a newer 4.0L I prefer the I6 over the bleah.... v6 and v8's they use now.

  • Nah, I plan on getting a new one. I traded my old 92 in for this 99 Ranger. Truth is I do regret it. That Jeep was a blast.

  • Yes they are good motors. The problem was only on the older 4.0 High Output I6 engines. The adapter for the oil filter would leak between the engine and the adapter. Mine only died because the oil pump died with out me knowing, then I ran it at around 105mph all the way to the hospital for a family emergency. By the time I got there it was only running on 5 cylinders. I drove it home 1 week later, still on 5 cylinders. If I can find another one I'll build that one up too.

  • lol, yah... its pretty cool sound, i wna brake that smoothnes..... lol.... mine got a wistle sound on it... lol.....

  • Nice bro. Inline sixes have a very smooth sound.
