Starring Euclid. This is when Euclid was learning to go through a hoop. First, I let him touch the hoop and just check it out so as not to be nervous about it. Then I praise him for interacting with the hoop. When he sticks his head through, he gets not only praise, but a treat. Soon, he goes all the way through the hoop several times in a row.

  • do budgies scream when you leave the room??

  • @ThePonkTube Mine never did. Budgies are the only parakeet or parrot I would recommend for someone who has never owned a bird, or who lives in a small apartment, or who has roommates or housemates, or who has a busy life style, or who may be annoyed by screaming or loud singing at certain times.

My budgie, Bibi, chirped and sang quietly, but did so nearly all the time.

  • thats so cool

    how did you train him/her

so that he wouldnt fly away when he/she is

    outside the cage?

  • He had his wings clipped when I bought him. He could still fly a bit though. A couple of times I took him outside on my shoulder and he flew/glided to the ground a good 20' away when he got startled. Inside, he liked to stay near me. In fact, he'd scream his little head off if I went into another room. That's something to think about if you are considering buying a parrot.

  • What are you giving him for treats! What a smart bird!

  • Seeds and gram cracker crumbs are what he likes for treats. His normal food is pellets and veggies.

  • Lol there's a cat down on the floor that is just waiting to kill that bird.

I saw it's head a couple of times

  • @mathiasdrobek no but if you clip both then he/she would be able to fly

  • Can your budgie fly when he/her wings are clipped? plss tell me dude

  • wat a very unique and smart parakeet

  • yea it is.because parakeets have long tails and parrots have short tails so it IS a parakeet.

  • It's a quaker parakeet, it's not the usual one, but it's still a parakeet...
