When you say high, is every setting on high? i.e did you press the 'High' option on the left hand side of the graphics screen?. Or are some on ultra as well. I only ask because im having trouble balancing performance and graphics in this game...

USS Constitution did not mount guns where the guns in this ship are mounted. There is no room for recoil.

Constitution mounted 24 pound long guns on her main deck and 32 pound carronades on the quarterdeck and forecastle. She did not have guns mounted on the upper deck between forecastle and quarterdeck.

i am afraid this game simply can't accurately depict the constitution. The constitution is flush decked no poop or raised fore deck. The constitution also has 24 pounders the game gives frigates 18 pounders which are standard armament for european frigates. The hull of the constitution's hull was as thick as a ship of the lines. the game system is based on the weaker european frigates. Thus a constitution will demolish a european frigate in one on one and even two on one battles.

I like how everyone just leisurely walks around while cannon balls are flying past their faces and destroying their equipment.

Decatur, who had no equal in personal courage, saw no other choice but surrender his ship, badly broken by the sandbar and beat up and bloodied by Endymion's 24-pounders. He could no longer get away; his only prospect was fighting 3 or 4 ships..

@MrDeano324 Subject of USS President vs HMS Endymion and HMS Pomone, if you want to talk about that story. President had broken her back and sprung her masts getting out of New York, and was pursued by 4 ships. Endymion caught up first and engaged. She was a heavy frigate with 24-pound long guns on the gundeck, like President. If President turned to fight, it would be one against four. President endured heavy casualties, 20% of crew, then did turn & disable Endymion with bar and chain shot

@MrDeano324 Total non-sequitor. I remark on the physical inaccuracy of the depiction, and you bring up a whole different history. Physical differences, and while USS President was not an identical sister to USS Constitution, I believe she shared these characteristics. No beak. No quarterdeck. No forecastle. No boat booms. Clean breakwater. CLEAN BREAKWATER. Spar deck. SPAR DECK. Got it?
