It seems like Big Bird did a great job of helping Sid Caesar with The Alphabet, don't you think?

"But I threw it away because there was no PLPLTTP in any word in the dictionnary..."
How was it that he INVENTED all the letters of the alphabet if a dictionnary had already been written? Not trying to spoil the fun in this segment....just saying. I still love it!

Oh, never mind. I found it.

Edgy, huh? Hmm... uh, what does that mean?

You're right, Marbles. In fact I read an interview with Frank Oz in recent months where he called the current Sesame Street "sh--t"... now I thought that was pretty blunt, but honest. He said when he worked with Henson the muppets were edgy and interesting, and today all of that is pretty much gone from children's television. I wish I could find that article again. It was very much what you just said.

that's cute~
Yeah...Elmo isn't a bad guy in himself; the bad thing was CTW/Sesame Workshop's decision to give Elmo even more exposure than Big Bird used to get. (If Jim Henson hadn't died seventeen years ago, he'd probably be furious at the idea of ANY one character having his own fifteen-minute spot in every episode!)
