Spatial Modeling is a detailed GIS process used to dynamically display data over an area or a span of time.

The video depicts a 3 Dimensional representation of an Arsenic concentration plume between a runway and taxiway. Soil samples were taken at the locations represented by green cylinders and sent to a lab for further analysis. Upon receiving the lab results, the arsenic concentrations were entered in to a Rockworks database and an inverse distance weighting (IDW) model was applied to the data. The model's intention is to visually and spatially project, both horizontally and vertically, the migration pattern of the arsenic based on concentration values obtained from the sample points. The final output of the IDW model displays a concentration plume based on the arsenic values taken from the sample locations. Additional data, such as 3-Dimensional buildings and a 6 inch resolution aerial image, have been overlaid onto the final plume concentration model providing a familiar visual representation of the area located around the concentration plume.
